Colorful Seasons Life is a Beautiful Thing

I am so excited to have glossy cardstock back!! There are so many fun techniques using this great paper. One of them is Polished Stone. The leaves on this card were created using this technique. I hope you enjoy it, too!!

Supplies:
  • Stamp SetsColorful Seasons (143726) OR Colorful Seasons Bundle (145348)
  • Cardstock – Thick Very Vanilla (144237), Garden Green (102584), Glossy White (144240)
  • Stamp Pads – Versamark (102283)
  • Misc. – Garden Green Ink Refill (102059); Cajun Craze Ink Refill (119790); Crushed Curry Ink Refill (131158); Copper Foil Sheets (142020); Copper Emboss Powder (141636); Heat Tool (129053); Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies (145348); Big Shot (143263); Snail Adhesive (104332); Dimensionals (104430); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Rubbing Alcohol, Cotton Balls
Measurements:
  • Thick Very Vanilla: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”; 5” x 3-3/4”
  • Garden Green: 5-1/4” x 4”
  • Copper Foil: scraps for leaves
  • Glossy Cardstock: approximately 4” x 5”
Instructions:
  1. Score 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Very Vanilla cardstock at 4-1/4” and fold in half
  2. Attach Garden Green layer to Very Vanilla card base with Snail
  3. Stamp 'Life is a Beautiful Thing' with Versamark Ink on top right corner of Very Vanilla Layer
  4. Pour Copper Emboss Powder over sentiment; heat set
  5. Add alcohol to the cotton ball
  6. Put two drops of each ink refill color on the cotton ball
  7. Dab the cotton ball all over the Glossy cardstock
  8. Cut two large leaves with the colored Glossy cardstock
  9. Cut two large outline leaves with the Framelits and Glossy cardstock
  10. Cut two large leaves and three small leaves with the Copper Foil and Framelits
  11. Cut two outline leaves with the Copper Foil and Framelits
  12. Adhere the outline leaves to the solid leaves with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  13. Add all large leaves to Very Vanilla layer with Snail on left side
  14. Add small leaves to card front with Dimensionals
