Measurements:

  • Basic White CS: 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” (2 pc)

  • Basic White CS: 2” x 2”; 1-1/2” x 3”

  • Purple Posy CS: 1/2” x 3

  • Highland Heather CS: 1/2” x 3

Instructions:

  1. Emboss Purple Posy CS with Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. Adhere to card base.

  2. Create a ‘spotlight mask’ using 1-piece Basic White CS. Mark center on 1 short-side. Then, on opposite short-side, mark 5/8” in from each side. Trim off from 5/8” to ‘center’ mark on each side. Save scrap pieces.

  3. Lay ‘spotlight mask’ over center of 2nd-piece Basic White CS and hold in place. Using Blending Brush, color outside edges with Highland Heather until desired depth of color added. Repeat on opposite side of ‘spotlight mask’. Remove mask.

  4. Punch a small oval from the 1-1/2” x 3” Basic White CS using the Double Oval Punch.

  5. Using the ‘scrap’ Basic White CS pieces, mask over the Highland Heather sides of Basic White CS layer. Add the punched Oval at bottom of unmasked area. Using a Blending Brush, lightly add the ‘spotlight’ using So Saffron ink and Crumb Cake ink at the bottom of the oval (creates a floor).

  6. Run the blended layer through the Stampin’ Cut & Embossing Machine with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder just over the ‘Highland Heather’ blended sides.

  7. Stamp the ‘egg chick’ multiple times using stamped off Smoky Slate ink so they are ‘outside’ the spotlight circle.

  8. Adhere stamped/embossed layer to card front.

  9. Stamp ‘dancing chick’ on Basic White CS using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Die cut with coordinating Hey Birthday Chick dies.

  10. Color chick with Stampin’ Blends: Daffodil Delight Dark, Pumpkin Pie Dark, Highland Heather Light, Purple Posy Dark. Then color ‘eggshell’ with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Add to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  11. Die cut 1 banner each from Purple Posy and Highland Heather CS. Add to card front using Mini Glue Dots as shown.

  12. Finish with a Purple Posy bow from the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo.
