I know it's hard to believe, but it's time to start planning your Christmas cards. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing various Christmas cards that you can create to send to your friends and family.

Star of Light

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets: Star of Light Bundle (143508)
• Card Stock & Paper: Whisper White (100730), Night of Navy (100867), Silver Glimmer (135314), Fabulous Foil Acetate Sheets (141653)
• Stamp Pads: Night of Navy (126970), Smoky Slate (131179)
• Misc. –SNAIL Adhesive (104332); Fine Tip Glue Pen (138309); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Fast Fuse Adhesive (129026)

Measurements:

• Night of Navy card base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored in half at the 5-1/2”, scored front panel at 2-3/4, plus some scraps for star
• Whisper White layers: 4 x 5-1/4, 4 x 2-3/4; 1 x 2-3/4
• Fabulous Foil Acetate Sheets: 4 X 2-3/4
• Silver Glimmer: 1-1/2 x 2-3/4, scrap for center of star

Instructions:

1. Fold Night of Navy Card base to form a “Z” (fold in half, then fold front flap up)
2. Stamp Star Swirls using Smoky Slate Ink on left side of Whisper White 4 X 5-1/4 layer
3. Stamp 'May Your Season...' with Night of Navy on 4 x 2-3/4 white layer
4. Stamp 'Star of Wonder…' with Night of Navy on 1 x 2-3/4 white layer
5. Cut out Star with Night of Navy cardstock and framelit
6. Cut out Silver Glimmer small star with framelit
7. Assemble card front - attach Fabulous Foil (silver side up) with Fast Fuse in center only (no need to add adhesive anywhere else), then add the Silver Glimmer to center with Fast Fuse, add stamped Whisper White layer
8. Attach stamped Whisper White 4 x 2-3/4 layer to second panel with snail adhesive
9. Attach stamped Whisper White 4 x 5-1/4 layer to third panel
10. Attach cut out star to right side of Whisper White 4 X 5-1/4 layer with fine tip glue pen
11. Add cut out small Glimmer Paper star to center of Night of Navy star with a dimensional

Back to School Backpack Project Sheet

With all the kids getting ready to go back to school...some have already started...I thought this would be a fun project to share.  Hope you enjoy it, too!!

Punch Board Backpack

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets – Marquee Messages (141727)
• Paper – Dapper Denim Card Stock (141414), 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (141408)…This project could use ANY of the IN-Colors, but I’ve listed Denim.
• Stamp Pads – Dapper Denim Ink Pad (141394)
• Misc. – Gift Bag Punch Board (135862), Envelope Punch Board (133774), Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon (141424), Rhinestones Basic Jewels (119246), Classic Label Punch (141491), 1/8” hole punch (134365), Tear & Tape Adhesive (138995), Velcro Dots and/or magnets

Measurements:

• Dapper Denim Cardstock: 7” x 11”
• Dapper Denim Ribbon: 21”
• Scrap of white cardstock
• Dapper Denim Designer Series Paper: 4” x 2-7/8” (front layer) and 4” square (for pocket)

Instructions:

1. Use Gift Bag punch board to create the base for a Medium gift bag. On the top edge (opposite the base flaps), score all the way along the horizontal line and punch a flap opposite the last large section (the back of the bag). The flap will be the top of the backpack. Cut off all the top edge EXCEPT the flap. (See image A)
2. Adhere 4” x 2-7/8” DSP to the large area in the middle of the bag as shown.
3. Punch 4 holes in the back of the backpack and thread ribbon through the top, tying inside the back panel (See image B)
4. Apply Tear & Tape to the front left (smallest) flap of bag and the underside of the flap below the DSP panel. Assemble to create backpack.
5. Using the Envelope Punch Board, create a “box” with the 4” square DSP, starting at the 1-3/4” score line. Repeat with the 2” score line on the same envelope to make a box. Assemble box and adhere to front panel of backpack.
6. Use magnets or velcro dots to keep backpack flap and pocket closed.
7. Stamp “So Proud of You” in Denim on scrap of white card stock, punch out with Classic Label Punch and adhere to top flap. Embellish as desired.

Measurements:

Instructions:

• Stamp Pads – Sweet Sugarplum (141395)
• Misc. – Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper (DSP) (141654); Sweet Sugarplum 3/8” Ruched ribbon (141428); 1-1/4” circle punch (119861); 1-3/8” circle punch (119860); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements:

• Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock: 8-1/2” x 6” plus scrap for tag
• Whisper White Cardstock: scrap for tag
• Blooms & Bliss DSP: 2 pieces each 3-3/4” x 3-3/4” and 2 pieces each 3-3/4” x 3/4"

Instructions:

1. With Sweet Sugarplum cardstock, score as follows:
   1. Score short edge at 1” and 5”
   2. Score long edge at 4” and 8” for entire length. Score at 2” and 6” to first score line only
   3. Use straight edge and stylus to score the diagonal lines shown on the diagram below. Tip: put cardstock on a paper piercing mat first to make it easier to push the stylus into the cardstock.
2. Cut along the solid lines as shown below (2”, 4”, 6”, and 8” down to 1” mark; 4” and 8” up to 1” mark). Trim away small rectangles on side and also a little triangle above and below, leaving just a flap.
3. Mark the center of one edge of DSP square and draw diagonal lines from the mark to the outer corners. Cut on lines to make 3 triangle shapes to match the box. Repeat for second DSP square. NOTE: the diagram is really showing the box upside down. The edge with 2 long flaps is actually the top of the box, so if your DSP has a direction, keep that in mind.
4. Adhere the DSP to the box, leaving just a small border. Adhere the strips to the top flaps of the box.
5. Apply adhesive of your choice (Tear & Tape, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Fast Fuse, etc) to flap and adhere to opposite side of box. Fold 4 flaps in and apply adhesive to two opposite sides and adhere.
6. Wrap the top of the box with a length of ribbon, tying in a bow. The box can be opened and closed without untying the ribbon – just squeeze to open and release to close.
7. Stamp greeting on cardstock scrap and punch with 1-1/4” circle punch. Punch 1-3/8” circle of Sweet Sugarplum and layer together. Attach to box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
