Measurements:

  • DSP piece – 2” x 4 ¼”
  • Pink Pirouette piece – 1 ¼” x 4”
  • Melon Mambo piece (beneath Pink Pirouette) – 1” x 3”

Instructions (refer to photo):

  1. Start with the clay heart as it has to dry, possibly overnight. Using rubber/latex gloves (you’ll thank me later when your hands are not hot pink like mine were), drop Melon Mambo ink into a small blob of clay that you have created a little well in. Knead clay to spread ink evenly. Add ink as desired to create deeper color. Press clay into heart shape in mold keeping flat in back (remove excess clay if needed). Bend mold to pop clay out. Let dry. If it doesn’t pop out the way you want, just remold it and try again.
  2. Stamp white card base with 3 images from the set as shown then run through embossing folder.
  3. Stamp Snuggles and Smooches focal point with black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock and use circle die to cut out. Using slightly larger piece of DSP cut out larger circle. Using SNAIL adhere to one another.
  4. Punch black-based DSP with ornate tag topper. Punch Pirouette with heart border punch but not all the way to the edge – you’ll need room to trim the piece into a banner
  5. Trim end of Pirouette with Snips to create pointy banner. Adhere Melon Mambo strip beneath Pirouette so that Mambo sticks out a little then trim so Mambo banner peeks out. Line up black tag topper piece beneath pink/mambo piece and cut so its banner is shorter. Points of black piece should just reach edge of white card base so keep that in mind when trimming it. Adhere black piece to pink pieces with SNAIL.
  6. Using dimensionals adhere round Snuggles piece to banner piece far right but just up to edge of the hole that is in that tag piece (you will need access to that hole).
  7. Take white spool of twine and cut off a piece about 2-3” long & set aside, leaving a tail as you begin winding, wind twine from spool around the ink refill about 5-6 times. Cut it so there is a tail going the other direction. Gently slip it off the ink refill so it stays intact. Using that first piece of twine you cut, tie a tight knot around center of wound twine. You should have several equal loops of twine on one side of the middle knot then the same on the other side. Cut the loops to make a sort of pom-pom and trim all twine except the two tails you started with. Taking the long tails push them through the front of the hole in the tag and pull gently until pom pom hits the tag then adhere the tails to the back with Stick Strip. Trim off excess in back.
  8. Adhere the whole tag piece to card base with dimensionals.
  9. When clay is dry, press rhinestone into upper right and adhere heart to tag with Sticky Strip.
  10. Scatter a few rhinestones on front.
  11. Mail it!
