Retired List ... with Clarification

You may have seen my post on the Last-Chance Products (aka Retired List) that are retiring from both the current Annual Catalog and the January - June 2020 Mini Catalog.  

The list was a bit confusing so I thought I would clarify a few things that I've been asked about this list. 

Q. Are Stampin' Blends Retiring? 
A. No, with the exception of Lovely Lipstick and Call Me Clover (retiring In Colors), Stampin' Blends will continue to be offered in the new catalog. YAY! 
The Blends are on the list because, beginning with the new catalog, they will no longer be available as single pens. They will come in a combo package (one light and one dark). 

Q. Are all the Dies listed on the list actually retiring? 
A. No, some of the dies such as In The Woods, Layering Circles, Layering Ovals, Layering Squares, Nature's Root and Rectangle Stitched Dies are changing manufacturers ... so the old inventory and item numbers are retired. The dies will be included in the new catalog with a new ordering number. Phew! While they will be in the new catalog, the Nature's Roots Dies are on sale now from $39.00 to $15.60! Item #146341

Q. How long are these items available for ordering? 
A. Items, with the exception of stamps, are available while supplies last or until June 2, whichever comes first. If you see something ... buy it now! Stamps are guaranteed available until May 22.

Q. Since the SNAIL adhesive is retiring, will there be another adhesive? 
A. Absolutely! The new, improved adhesive is better and works well in humid areas. It even has 3 yards more!

Q. Is a new die-cutting and embossing machine in the catalog? 
A. Short answer is YES!!  However, they will not be available when the catalog goes live on June 3rd. They will be available at some point early in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog sales period.
Spoiler alert .... Did I say 'they'?  Yes, I did. There will be 2 different size machines. They are so stinkin' cute! You'll have to wait for your catalog to see them.

Stampin’ Up! has announced the 2019-2020 Annual & 2020 Mini Catalog retiring products! These products will be available until June 2, 2020 or WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!

RETIRING PRODUCTS are popular and tend to sell out prior to the end of the catalog period.  If you have a wish list of items that are on the retiring list, I suggest you order sooner than later!  Once the products are gone, they are gone for good!

Measurements:

• Mossy Meadow: 4-7/8” x 2-3/8”
• Whisper White: 4-3/4” x 2-1/4”

Instructions:

1. Adhere Mossy Meadow card to card.
2. Stamp the “mountains” in Crumb Cake 
3. Stamp the “grass” below the mountains 
4. Stamp the “water” in Pool Party (stamping off first so it won’t be so dark). Stamp the other “water” stamp as picture show (do not stamp off).
5. Stamp the scatter stamp in Pool Party.
6. Stamp the “trees” in Mossy Meadow.
7. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow.

• Stamp Pads – Terracotta Tile (150086); Versamark (102283)
• Accessories – Gold Embossing Powder (109129); Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack (152479); Gilded Gems (152478); Dimensionals (104430)
• Tools – Ornate Layers Dies (152726); Stitched Rectangle Dies (148551); Heat Tool (129053); Die Cutting Machine

Measurements:

• Terracotta Tile cardstock: 4” x 5”
• Whisper White cardstock: 3-1/2” x 4-1/2” 
• Mint Macaron cardstock:  4” x 5”       3/4” x 3” strip
• DSP: 5-1/2” x 12” scored at 1-3/4”, 4-3/4” and 7-3/4”
• Ribbon: 20”

Instructions:

1. Cut frame from Terracotta Tile cardstock using Ornate Layers Dies. 
2. Cut stitched rectangle framelit for inside of card from Mint Macaron cardstock and the one that fits in the ornate frame from white cardstock. 
3. Stamp floral image on white stitched rectangle cardstock using Terracotta Tile ink.
4. Emboss “Thanks” sentiment on Mint Macaron strip with Versamark ink, gold embossing powder and heat tool. Flag the ends of strip with scissors.
5. Fold the DSP along the score lines so the shortest contrasting side of the paper is on top. Adhere Mint Macaron stitched rectangle to the inside back (for writing on) and the Ornate frame to the edge of the contrasting piece on the front. Layer stamped floral image inside the frame and add “Thanks” with dimensionals.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Tie ribbon around the left side in a bow. 
7. Add gold gilded gems to flower images, as desired.
